SPORTS: Achilles Out for Season
Tear in Muscle Around Ankle-Area Puts Superstar On DL

GREECE - It was just another 3-2 loss to Troy yesterday, but the real tragedy came when Greece’s all-star demigod, Achilles, Son of Peleus, left the game early after being hit by an arrow. Greek trainers say that it is too early to tell for sure, but it does not look good.

“I’m just concerned first and foremost about the poor kid’s career” said General Manager Agamemnon, “he’s got so much promise, and an injury like this could really set him back.”

The Greeks and the Trojans both lead Europe League Central, tied for first in a close battle for Most Badass Civilization. Though with this late exit of their 806BC first round draft pick Achilles, the pennant may be out of reach this season.

“This particular tendon has always given me trouble for some reason,” Achilles said in a press conference Friday, “but I’m sure that thousands of years from now my name will be synonymous with bravery and honor, and not with some obscure lower-leg injury.”
